Effects of straw returning with deep plowing on the growth of maize seedling in the eastern Jilin Province

Field experiments were conducted to study the seedling height,green leaf area,leaf SPAD value,dry matter quality and root quantity of four varieties of maize under maize straw returning in the areas of eastern Jilin Province.The results showed that compared with the treatment without straw returning,the plant height of maize was significantly increased,root number of Demeiya 1 was significantly increased,and the seedling shoot dry weight of Xianda 101 and Xianyu 1219 was significantly increased.However,the green leaf area and SPAD value of maize varieties were not significantly affected.
